Some Boy Cards

Hello again, I've a few boy cards to share with you this time.

This horse is from Beccy's Place. I coloured it with my pens after cutting it out on the Robo. I also cue the mat and used some scraps of leather style paper behind the mat. I used my Vera Mark pen to go over the pole and the metal work on the tack which I embossed with gold embossing powder.

I found this fab T shirt card on Shirley's website as a freebie. She is so generous to share these files with us all. I cut this from black card, the trim from whit and and a scrap of embossed white behind the star.

After making the black card I decided to do a green one as well. I had coloured the puppy a while ago but hadn't made him into a card. I cut him out and popped him on the front of the T shirt. The trim is scarp white coloured with Promarker.

The is a close up of the puppy I love his cheeky face.

I've seen these box cards all over the place lately and decided to have a go as well. I did 'cheat' and got the Robo to cut it all and then I just stuck it all together but I really like the effect and can see a few more like this being made.

This last one is a simple birthday card. I cut the little robot out and the balloons and just stuck them together.

Not huge amounts of colouring or any fancy cards this time but sometimes for boy cards less is more. I am entering these cards in the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Metal-embossing powder
Tiddly Inks - Birthday

A Mother's Day Card

Good Morning, I just thought I would share the card I've made for my Husband to give his Mum for Mother's Day. It's not your usual flowers and things but I hope she will like it.

The image is from Polka Doodles and cut out of the Craft Robo. I coloured her with my Spectrum Noir pens. I added glitter to the frill on her dress, wings and hat. I coloured some thicker white ribbon I had bought to go through the ribbon sliders using the same pens as her dress. I have used some papers I bought at a  local craft show some time ago so no idea which brand they may be.
I used some Coredinations card stock with the Krft backing through an embossing folder I got from a magazine. I used my Martha Stewart punch around the page on some white card stock created my own glitter card stock with some double sided tape. I was covered in the stuff for days afterwards, thankfully it's one of my favourite colours. Another layer of paper and done.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My friend has got a new job and I imagine this is how she will look as she clears her office of the old thing ready for the new things she will need. She got it today and really liked the card always a bonus.

Pile It On Challenge 11 For a Man

Hello again, welcome back to my second post on the Pile It On Design Team. This time we would like to see your creations for a man. Yes we know they can be hard to make cards for but we all need them at some point in the year. This time we are sponsored by

Welcome to the brilliantly bizarre brain of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  Here you will find monsters, aliens, odd balls and Dundertons as well as many many more wonderful digital stamps. Our artist and founder cut his teeth in the craft world at the company "Just  Inklined", where his unique digis made a huge impression. We're hoping to continue to entertain and amuse, with our growing catalogue of great value digis with a sense of humour.
The prize is 2 digis of your choice and there are  lots to choose from.

I was able to work with the fabulous Player Two image this time, as soon as I saw this image it was the one for me. I coloured it with my Spectrum Noirs and my Promarkers I am finding that by combining the two sets of pens I have so many more options always good when crafting.

I had used my Craft Robo to cut it the image with a nice border as I could see the scene in my head. I used an old Sizzix Texture plate to emboss the blue 'wallpaper' and a wood grain folder to do the floor in Kraft card. I didn't link the Kraft just as it was so I used some gliding style waxes I made using clear shoe polish and some mica powders. I rubbed over two colours gave it a buff and went over with the darker one again for some definition. I think I will be making these again as I am finding them rather useful at the minute.

I coloured some white card candi to match the buttons on a well know game controller, cut the sentiment and a mat on the Craft Robo and viola all done. Now I choose this particular image as it reminds me very strongly (read it is) of my daughter and my husband when they are paying video games together.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Cards 4 Guyz - Typography
Fan Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers - Spots
Creative moments - Anything Goes
A Creative Romance - Seeing Double

This time we are sponsored by the fabulous Sassy Studios
Sassy Studio Designs
and the wonderful Angi's Digis
Angie's Digi Stamps

I was able to work with Jessica Rabbit this time.
I coloured Jessica with Promarkers and my Spectrum Noirs, I love the red dress she wears in the film so I glittered the dress in a bright red glitter, it's always so hard to get how sparkly this is in real life in photographs, either that or it's my photography!

I used my favourite die Spellbinders Labels 4 and the Gold Labels 4 to frame her. The papers are ones I've had for an age so I don't know the make sorry. I used two embossing folders, one a Tim Holtz one and the other was a freebie in a magazine. I made my own gilding wax using clear shoe polish and some mica powder so I rubbed some of that on the embossing as well. I was very pleased with the results. I used my Martha Stewart punch to create the paper lace, some gems and a Lily Of The Valley stamp for a sentiment and all done.

This is using Horse and Foal from Angi's Digis I coloured this one with my Spectrum Noirs. I created the for you mat on my craft robo, used some scraps from my scrap box for the background, added some gems and left it at that.

I was lucky enough to use the beautiful Rabbit Costume. I coloured this with my Promarkers and my Spectrum Noirs. I cut out the image as I wanted him to be free of any background. I have made a gift bag for one of my grandsons for Easter using this little cutie. I used some CraftWork Cards paper from the Sherbet pad. I used my dies to cut the ovals and the little flowers are my Marianne Dies. There are 3 layers in the flowers I shaped them using my Tonic tool kit my friend gave me for Christmas. A little bird song for Spring

Hello again, hope you are all doing okay. Can you believe it is March already where is the year going?

This little bird is from From The Heart Stamps

I coloured the bird with my Spectrum Noir's, I do like these pens and use them with my Promarkers most of the time. I had cut the image on my Craft Robo right down to the musical notes. I used a freebie embossing folder from Papercraft Essentials. I went over the embossing with my pens lightly to bring it out. The little bird is on foam pads for some dimension. The card is for my uncle now you might think it's a bit girly for a man, but my uncle loved flowers, gardening and keeps birds so although bot your usual man card, this one is.
